    Bad Astronomy

    First and foremost thing I'd like to recommend to the people outhere, who would like to know more about the skies above, would be... another blog. I know it kinda sucks when you expect to find something here and instead you are given a redirection, but, believe me, the site I'm talking about is worth it.

    First time I stumbled upon it was when me and some other people had discussion about whether Moon landings were faked or not. I hope you are not the one who believes NASA lied, right? Anyway, there are many people in the world that find some most stupidest arguments against the fact people indeed landed on our sattelite. Enraged because I couldn't prove my truth (believe me, they know, how to drown you in details, evading the debunking of the core of their ideas), I didn't know what to do, until one nice dude gave us all this great link.

    This site is not only about Moon hoax, it covers many more topics, mostly concentrating on how modern society misunderstands astronomy, how some people use this false knowledge to spread stupidity among us (making some nice profit in process)... But that's not all - great scientific achievements, astronomy news and stuff like that is also there, so it makes for a great portal, from which you can find many other sites of interest.

    The name of the site is Phil Plait's Bad Astronomy. It was created a long time ago and most of the sections are (sadly) dead, however, Bad Astronomy Blog is buzzing with life and new stuff appears there at least twice a day, so it's worth to check it once in a while, and you might find some interesting things there.

    "Bad astronomy" logo is an intelectual property of Phil Plait.

    Blog Reborn

    As you can clearly see, all the previous posts were purged from the surface of virtuality. There are several reasons behind it, first and foremost being their quality and overall discontinuity, because I made post here like once or twice a month. As I'm looking forward to changing the situation and adding more different topics in here, I hope that suddenly it will get a lot better for me to write and for you to read, what's happening in this world and what to expect.

    As of now, I plan to add several categories into my blog:

    • Cool scientific stuff (by the name "cool" I don't mean "requiring 200+ IQ to understand);
    • Diary (I think not too many people are interested in my boring everyday life, but for the sake of completness...);
    • Music (I will try to cover my band a bit, and, of course, many other interesting facts about the music);
    • Astronomy (yeah, it should be in the "Cool Scientific Stuff", but I have some extra interest in astronomy, so it's better to leave them apart).

    Of course, after some time I might add some things or render some topics obsolete and merge them into one, so don't rely on this draft.

    P.S. Yes, this is my picture :) If you want to get one yourself, you can do so by going to South Park Studio. The tool is very easy and fun to use, and, although more options would be welcome, you can create some really funny characters with that.

    Don't forget though that if you want to use them in your own cartoons, you will have to get permission. You can find details there. I presume I didn't infringe any copyright laws ;)
